Dylan Liu graduated as a jewelry designer and worked as a jeweler for quite some time; This created a newfound love and understanding for Art & Design.
“I like traditional Chinese paintings very much, they’re very different from western paintings. Dylan explains; “Traditional Chinese paintings focus more on freehand brushstroke work; rather than focusing on styles like solely realism.”
The majority of Dylans tattoo work focuses on brushstroke like imagery that flows well with the human body. The focus of his inspiration usually from derives from nature inspired themes.
“In Chinese traditional paintings, some simply placed ink points and water-stained lines are enough to give the viewer an overall feeling the for the imagery and give them a sense of meaning without having to overflow the design with detail. My focus is to give my clients beautiful simple pieces of art they can wear for a lifetime.”
